Great Picture for the money

by Samsung Enthusiast on Dec 5th, 2008 at 10:43 AM:

I must say that this TV is very sharp with nice color. I purchased this 63o series for two advantages, one it has a much lower price and matte sceen surface (I have a large window that cause some glare) I've recently bought the 52" 650, 32" 550 and t240hD also The 630 is almost as nice as the 650 (The 650 is a little sharper and deeper in color) the 630 was considerably less money. If You are like most users and will not use any of the extra features that the upgraded models provide, this one does a nice job!!

Amazing HDTV

by Hoppasaurus Wrecks on Oct 22nd, 2008 at 10:33 AM:

The Samsung LN46a630 is quite simply, an amazing television. After throughly researching HDTV technology for the better part of four years this is the model that earned my money. I am an avid gamer, and wanted the best HDTV I could buy for my Xbox 360. I do not regret my purchase one bit.

The crazy-fast pixel response time (4ms) is perfect for gaming or fast sports programs; I've never seen so much as a hint of motion blur even with the fastest moving content. The contrast ratio (40,000:1) makes for incredibly deep blacks for an LCD and makes colors really pop. The menus are feature-packed and intuitive to nav around. Standard-def processing is excellent for those rare times I'm actually watching TV programming. Although I would recommend professional calibration for any HDTV, this one actually looks pretty fucking amazing right out of the box. That's not to say don't get it calibrated, just that it looks great from the get-go and will only look better after calibration. If you're a gamer or just a high definition enthusiast looking for the best HDTV in its class, look no further. You really have to see this thing in action to believe how good it looks.
