Shrill and bassless

by Brian Mestre on Nov 19th, 2008 at 1:36 PM:

I've tried Ultimate Ears, Sleek, and most of these products through the years, and have had the same issues over and over: the bass is just too weak unless and until I turn it up very loud, then it's still not strong but almost audible but if I have them in long amounts of time, it's loud enough that my top end is shot. Great way to improve the bass, by killing your highs in your ears!! And now with these "new improved" ones? Seems like it's still the same old thing in a pretty new box. Yea it's loud. And shrill. Why should I believe them this time?. And it's exactly the same technology in my grandfather's old hearing aids according to most of the articles I read. The biggest breakthrough there is you don't hear the whistling noise Gramp's hearing aids make when he sticks his hands over his ears. I wonder if the one with the cellphone attachment will provide that feature too...Seems like top fire is top hype to me.
