Nice if you want the subwoofer to drive you out of the room
by Will Neglin on Jun 30th, 2008 at 3:37 PM:
I like the unit except for one big exception. The factor adjustment settings for the subwoofer don't allow you to take it down any further than -6db. In a small room with a tile floor, it sounds like you're at a concert with the bass player sitting in the corner with his amp cranked up too loud. Plus, you can hear every mistake he makes. A call to customer support produced a reset of the unit with no change and a "there's nothing else we can do" comment. I asked if any firmware could fix the problem and was told none was planned. I said there was something I could do and that was to find every board there is to write a negative review. I spent well over $2k on this unit and a matching 40" 1080p Samsung LCD. Everything else is fantastic with this being the only missing link. We are now hunting for pillows to enclose the sub in. Just hope it doesn't overheat.
