Decent with flaws

by Ben on Feb 21st, 2008 at 4:08 PM:

As an alarm clock it offers good functions and is decent sounding, it won't fill a room, but it is decent. Like everyone else has said, the wakeup can scare you with its rapid increase in volume. I have had this system for about six months and I have had some weird issues. First, sometimes the alarm just doesn't go off. This can be very problematic. Also, the radio reception goes in and out (other receivers in my house work fine). Sometimes it even magically changes the stations by itself. I am very disappointed with overall system and would not spend more than sixty dollars on this.

Worked great......for a year.

This was a gift from my girlfriend for Christmas '06. I thought that all the features were pretty good and the sound was better than average. I woke up this morning and nothing works on it now. I can't set the alarm clock, or perform any other features using the buttons on top. I also noticed that the backlight is out, and you definitely can't see the clock in a dark room. Tried resetting it per the owners manual, but still no luck. Come to find out, it only has a 90 day warranty! I definitely won't be buying another one.

ALARM

by Brian on Jan 17th, 2007 at 11:53 PM:

The Ipod alarm is nice, but it scares me in the morning. It takes only about 3 seconds, before the speakers are blaring and I race to hit the snooze. Although it does wake me up, it also wakes my entire house. Bad idea on the alarm, but it gets the job done, in a freaky way I guess.

Not so hot for the shuffle

by Deane on Feb 15th, 2006 at 7:26 PM:

You plug your Ipod into the device, which makes it "sleep" until the alarm function is needed. However, the shuffle is required to use an external line and must be left on all night. It just isn't practical for the shuffle.

It's All You've Got

by Sarah on Feb 9th, 2006 at 7:00 PM:

My two complaints about this unit (which are also the same as everyone elses) are that
a) the "gradual" wake up is very loud and not so "gradual" and
b) the display light, even on its lowest setting (out of 3), is very bright. So bright I block it completely with another object on my night stand (defeating the purpose of the clock feature all together).

Overall, it's a nice unit and I've not had any problems with it besides those listed above. I am still keeping my eyes peeled for something just a little bit better.
