Excellent monitor with svelte looks
by Rodney on Apr 30th, 2004 at 11:33 AM:
I bought this monitor 2 weeks ago after reading many reviews. I immediately put it to the test - games (Unreal II, and Klingon Academy); Movies (Attack of the Clones and Matrix Revolution) and Internet use. Every single test was fantastic. One thing though. I freaked out on the movies. Pixellation was horrible on the digital input. When I switched to analog input everything smoothed out to a beautiful picture with no ghosting whatsoever. My picky friend came over to check it out and was very impressed. Great monitor!!

Excellent monitor

After browsing the net comparing one to the other i finally choose the Samsung Syncmaster 173P.The Packaging Was Compact yet housed a load of extras including the Wall mounting kit, which with some monitors you had to buy seperately.
As I use an ATI 9600 graphics card i immediately opted to use the digital input of the monitor.
The Clarity of text is fantastic very easy on the eyes.So my next step was to try out the games, I tried Far Cry,Pandora Tommorow and Need for speed underground.
There was absolutely no comparison,No pixellation at all and the quality of the display is excellent and impressed not only myself but also friends that they too have gone and bought the same monitor
