The Logitech Z-4 should be at the top of your list of <$100 speaker systems if you're in the market for a good 2.1 setup.
Highs: Great sound clarity; appealing aesthetics; decent volume
Lows: Slightly weak bass; smudging surfaces

The Logitech Z-4 is an all-around top performer in the 2.1 speaker category. The appealing modern design, though fingerprint prone, is modern but not gaudy, though some may be put off by the prominent Logitech logos. The controls are tight and accurate, with the control panel sporting headphone and auxiliary in. “I bought them about a week ago, took them home, plugged them in, turned them on and oh my! Its a masterpiece! Great sound quality, clear strong bass. There is one disadvantage though. The satelite speakers do not have covers so you can easily prod or poke...” More...
